SAFFRON CRUSTS

This recipe tastes great all year round, but maybe it tastes extra good around Christmas time!
INGREDIENTS
- 1,5 dl Use like sugar
- 1 1/2 g saffron
- 100 g butter
- 5 dl flour
- 2 eggs
- 50 g almonds
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
METHOD:
Heat the oven to 175 degrees. Whisk Use like sugar and eggs fluffy. Then melt the butter and pour in the saffron. Chop the almonds into large pieces and put them in a bowl. Then mix the flour and baking powder with the almonds. Pour the egg mixture and butter into the bowl and stir. Shape the dough into three lengths and place them on a sheet of baking paper. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 125 degrees and remove the lengths. Cut the lengths into slices and put them back on the sheet. Dry the crusts for another 15-20 minutes in the center of the oven, turning the crusts at regular intervals so that all sides are dried.
