Recipe Twix

With this recipe you can easily make homemade, super tasty Twix squares. Perfect for a cup of coffee when you have an unexpected visitor.

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Boil up fiber syrup honey and butter. Mix the remaining ingredients thoroughly. Line a 1.5 liter bread pan with baking paper and press the dough into the bottom. Bake in the middle of the oven until the cake takes on color, about 10 minutes.

Caramel filling:
The caramel filling can be made when the base is baked as this step takes some time. Simmer the cream and fiber syrup in a saucepan for about 50 minutes until the consistency thickens (choose a wide saucepan to speed up the process). Spread the caramel filling on the baked base.

Chocolate coating:
Carefully melt the chocolate, preferably with a dash of coconut oil, and spread it on top of the filling. Allow to set completely and then cut into pieces of the desired size. Store in the fridge.

Tip: Heat the knife under hot water when cutting the twix to make it easier!
