NICK'S and the Swedish Childhood Diabetes Foundation are now launching a collaboration to spread knowledge about type 1 diabetes and raise funds for research. Type 1 diabetes is Sweden's most common life-threatening and incurable disease in children. Every day almost three children are diagnosed and at least as many adults. The disease can affect anyone, at any time, and today there is neither a cure nor an end to type 1 diabetes. The diagnosis is a life sentence and the only way to change that is to solve the mystery through research.
The collaboration was a natural fit as the Nick's brand was founded by Niclas Luthman who, together with his team, started developing ice cream and chocolate without added sugar after being diagnosed with prediabetes. Nick's goal is to create delicious snacks without added sugar, gluten and palm oil, for everyone to enjoy - including diabetics.
NICK'S donates 2 SEK per chocolate drink sold in stores and online to the Children's Diabetes Foundation to support research on type 1 diabetes.
We think the collaboration is a natural fit as NICK'S was created after our founder Niclas suffered from prediabetes. His diagnosis inspired him to experiment to create healthier ice cream and chocolate. Our goal today is to create delicious snacks free of added sugar, gluten and palm oil. Just for the joy.
Diabetes Month, also known as Blue Month, is an extension of the WHO's World Diabetes Day which occurs on November 14. To celebrate Blue Month, NICK'S classic chocolate wafer gets a new look in store with a limited edition blue package in collaboration with the Children's Diabetes Foundation. For every blue chocolate wafer sold, NICK'S will donate SEK 1 per bar sold to the Child Diabetes Foundation. Our blue chocolate wafers are sold exclusively in selected stores during the month of November. During November, NICK'S also donates SEK 10 per online order to the Child Diabetes Fund.
All gifts are welcome - big or small.
